An innovative financing program

The Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) is launching EmPOWER Annapolis, a program that removes the large upfront costs of clean energy improvements. It provides low cost loans that are billed over 10 years while property owners enjoy the energy savings. Currently, only energy efficiency measures are qualified. However, renewables such as solar arrays are anticipated in the near future.

How does it work?

Interested property owners contact EmPOWER Annapolis and arrange for an energy audit by an expert consultant. The energy audit will identify the energy efficiency measures that will maximize energy bill savings. Based on the audit, property owners determine which energy projects to finance and submit an application. Application fees apply.
